This is the home page of a fantasy cycling blog for the GreenWightRed velogames minileague for the 2022 Italian Grand Tour (based on the Giro d’Italia).
I hope you enjoy the occasional posts with stage updates, stats and random nonsense, as regulars have patiently tolerated since 2017. Feel free to join in with the odd witty banter or wotnot. This is just for amusement. There may be token prizes for various categories (not decided upon yet).
Participation is free. Success cannot be guaranteed. Fun is compulsory.

History
The Giro d’Italia has been staged since 1909 when it was established to promote what is now the most widely read newspaper which is printed on pink paper (no, not the FT but La Gazetta dello Sport). Our minileague has been running from before 2017 (has anyone else kept the results?), since which time the winning fantasy teams and their Directeurs Sportifs are:
- 2017 Senza Vincere (DS Dale Fitzpatrick)
- 2018 Hey Guys, Come Back! (DS Martin Edge)
- 2019 Chapeau el Cornetto (DS Matt Hendey)
- 2020 Hoping to do better this time (DS Linda Edge)
- 2021 V’s Knees (DS Paul Martin)
- 2022 …
