History
A look back at the previous TDF minileagues which were variously called BlueWightandRed, Blue Wight Red, and latterly GreenWightRed to give continuity from the Giro:
- 2015 minileague league winners were Noël’s Acklam Angels (featuring Nibali, Porte, Quintana, Rolland, Greipel and Sagan)
- 2016 top team was Callan’s Dogma f8 (with Froome, Porte, Dan Martin and Peter Sagan)
- 2017 Ishbel Eade triumphed with the fabulous Cookie mermicorns rule (Froome, Uran and Quintana)
- 2018 … [does anyone have a record of this one? I can see that Philippa’s Vive la Rolling Resistance did well through Peter Sagan, Tom Dumoulin and Dan Martin, but I don’t have the minileague standings…]
- 2019 we raised our hats (and ice-creams) to Matt’s Chapeau el Cornetto in the Giro, but was that the year that Velogames got taken down by legal action from the TDF officious organisers?
- 2020 was overshadowed by the P-word, and a disrupted late Tour took place. Best of the minileague was Dale’s Année Annulée (with the Primoz, Tadej and Wout show)
- 2021 champion team was Philippa’s It’s All Downhill From Here (featuring Tadej Pogačar, Richard Carapaz and Mark Cavendish)
- 2022 …? It could be you!
